Every fall, the Crimson Key Society elects members to our board positions. These board members are each responsible for position specific duties, but are first and foremost enthusiastic representatives our organization. Check out our current board members’ profiles and learn a little about what they do below!
President
Sophia Mora-Ortega (She/Her)

Sophia is a Junior in Eliot House from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She studies Social Studies.
As President, Sophia oversees all of Key’s functions and serves as the main link between the organization, Harvard University officials and the organization’s Alumni Association. She oversees all board activity and the organization’s activity on campus.
Vice President
Chaelon Simpson (He/Him)

Chae is a Junior in Winthrop House from DeSoto, Texas. Chae studies Sociology.
As Vice President, Chae works closely with our president as a leader in the organization. Chae’s main role as Vice President is to serve as the comp director. This means organizing all comp related activities like advertisement, planning events and the interview process.
Tour/TEACH Coordinators
Andrea Gonzalez Trujillo (She/Her)

Andy is a Sophomore in Pforzheimer House from Querétaro, México. She studies Biomedical Engineering & Philosophy, with a secondary in Government.
Lauren Teicholtz (She/Her)

Lauren is a Junior in Lowell House from New York City, New York. She studies Math.
Our Tour/TEACH coordinators are in charge of assigning members to tours and collaborating with Harvard’s Visitor’s Center to create our tour schedule. They are also responsible for coordinating our involvement in the TEACH program.
Freshman Week Coordinators
Tommy Branca (He/Him)

Tommy is a Sophomore in Lowell House from Darien, Connecticut. He studies Human Evolutionary Biology.
Rachel Akinla (She/Her)

Rachel is a Sophomore in Adams House from Bedford, New York. She studies Mechanical Engineering.
Our Freshman Week coordinators are responsible for organizing the programming for Freshman Orientation Week at the start of each school year as well as our involvement in ARTS First Weekend in the spring and Freshman/Junior Family Weekend in the fall.
Treasurer
Chanden Climaco (He/Him)

Chanden is a Sophomore in Quincy House from Nashville, Tennessee. He studies Economics and Neuroscience.
Treasurer is responsible for handling all the finances of the organization. This includes all expenses, collection and management of profits, and fundraising efforts. He is also responsible for all club merchandising efforts.
Historian
Ryan Irving (He/Him)

Ryan is a Sophomore in Winthrop House, from Eastchester, New York. He studies History & Literature with a secondary in Economics.
Historian is responsible for the planning all the social events and activities as well as the preservation of institutional memories.
Community Chair
Idalis McZeal (She/Her)

Idalis is a Sophomore in Pforzheimer House from Los Angeles, California. She studies Applied Math in Computer Science.
Community Chair is in charge of all diversity, equity and inclusion efforts as well as internal community building for the organization. She plans programming for compers as well as members to orient themselves within the organizational community.
Guidebook & Marketing Manager
Ava Ference (She/Her)

Ava is a Sophomore in Lowell House, from Vancouver Island, British Columbia. She studies Government.
Guidebook & Marketing Manager is responsible for the publication and management of our organization’s guidebook to Harvard University, “Inside Harvard”. She works with publishing partners and members to revise edits to the book. She also manages all social media accounts for the organization.
Secretary
Ryan Green (He/Him)

Ryan is a Sophomore in Lowell House from Stellarton, Nova Scotia. He studies Applied Math in Decision & Control with a secondary in Environmental Science & Public Policy.
Secretary serves as the liason between the organization’s membership and it’s board. This means being the face of membership in board meetings and ensuring all members have a say. He is also responsible for all organizational communications and documentation, including writing invigorating birthday emails for each member of the organization.
Daily Tour Schedule
Starting at the beginning of September and running through the academic year, Crimson Key Society tours are available Monday through Saturday and leave the Smith Campus Center at 11 AM, 12 PM, and 1:30 PM.
