Crimson Key Society members are selected for their enthusiasm, knowledge, and passion for Harvard history. As student ambassadors, members use these traits to lead Harvard’s official historical walking tours. CKS tours are free of charge and offered to visiting dignitaries, University affiliates, and the general public.
During the hour-long tour, students usher groups around Harvard Yard, discussing key historical points, telling anecdotes, and answering questions, all while weaving in their own personal experience.
Tours for the general public depart from the Harvard Events and Information Center at 1350 Massachusetts Avenue. Tour schedules vary throughout the year; in order to find the current schedule, click here.
